Location: New Bedford, MA

Brief Description: This project was a handicap conversion of 16 units for the New Bedford Housing Authority. This included a full interior and exsterior renovation as required for wheelchair and ADA access throughout the entire home, as well as new porches and ramps and new exterior finishes.

Location: Somerville, MA

Brief Description: The successful comprehensive rehabilitation of this vacant state funded family development, effectively demonstrates, how AJA helped to provide a secure, healthy and attractive living environment which has become a source of pride for the residents, neighborhood and city. The before and after transformation of this large multi-family development is an example for other communities to emulate.

Brief Description: This Site Improvement project included the replacement of existing retaining walls, concrete patios, draining issues, fencing and sidewalks. AJA was able to solve drainage issues which had resulted in water infiltration and safety hazards to the tenants. The improvements addressed many issues that plagued this family development for years.

Client: Lynn Housing Authority

Brief Description: Construction of 6 new ADA compliant residential units located within 3 new duplexes. This 1 million dollar project included the demolition of three existing buildings to make way for the construction of 6 new barrier free units. The project was designed to meet all applicable codes and regulations while maintaining the residential appeal of the homes.

Location: South Boston, MA

Brief Description: This 7 million dollar renovation completed for the Boston Housing Authority included the Comprehensive Modernization of 21 multi-family buildings. The existing buildings had many water infiltration issues. AJA completed a compressive survey of the entire site and prepared Contract Documents to address the many deficiencies. The project was completed successfully with only one Change Order which resulted in a Credit.
